What am I going to do?

Tarot Intensives to Cultivate Decisive Clarity

You’re sipping on a lavender iced coffee at a stop light on the way to work, wishing you could inject caffeine into your veins.

Sleep is not your friend right now. You fingers tapping the steering wheel mimic the syncopation of your thoughts. Tick tick tick tick tick.

Each night you close your eyes and the hamster wheel spins like a game wheel. Except it never seems to land. Your brain just keeps clicking through all of your potential options. And what your mom might say. And what your boss would think. And how your social media bio would change. And what your bank account might look like. Round and round the hamster wheel goes, click click click click click your brain hums. All. Night. Long.

And even now.

Sitting at this stop light. An Armchair Expert podcast is playing through your speakers, but you’re not listening. Right in this very moment, your brain is just a wheel clicking through options.

You Need Soulful Clarity… Right Now

You’ve tried pros and cons list.

You’ve asked what your friends and coworkers and aunts and baristas think.

You’ve even posted your question anonymously on a Facebook group.

But even with everyone’s opinions loud and clear…you still don’t know.

Tarot Clarity Intensives

A tarot card of The Magician propped up on a crystal, representing the type of tarot clarity intensives Emilea Richardson, LMFT provides for anxious women in South Carolina.

Clarity Intensives Aren’t…

  • Fortune telling: I will not be providing any type of future certainty. If I could, I would, and I would be charging a hell of a lot more money.

  • In depth psychotherapy: I don’t need, or truthfully even want, your life story. I won’t need an indepth family tree, and I certainly won't’ ask what your dreams have been like. We’re here to get this one decision sorted.

  • Cheap: If you would like a quick, inexpensive tarot reading, may I point you to Etsy. There are hundreds to choose from. I would read the reviews first, if I were you, and also expect that reader’s opinion to be tossed in the pile along with everyone else’s.

  • A decision: I will not be making any decisions for you. This is not me, some wise, magical fairy living in a light box casting a spell over your life. I am not the main character of this story.

Clarity Intensives Are…

  • An invitation to your intuition: Setting aside the time, putting in the investment, and my techniques will allow your inner wisdom to bloom in front of you.

  • Intense, powerful work: This is less physical therapy, and more popping your shoulder back into joint. Effective, snappy, and not something you’ll do week after week.

  • An investment: Tarot is a language of intuition. You could invest a considerable amount of time to learn it, or you could invest in several hours to pour in your honesty and let me do the language bit for you.

  • Empowering: You are the main character of your story. At best, I hope I’m a wise woman living at the top of the hill. In every parable, the woman speaks cryptically and ultimately, the heroine finally hears her own inner voice. It’s not that the old woman has the answer - it’s that she provides a quiet enough space for the heroine to listen to her own self.

Let’s Break It Down

  • Not every dilemma is best suited for this powerful process. Some dilemmas, like grieving a divorce or break up, or healing after a faith transition, needs the consistent and in depth care of weekly therapy. But there are some dilemmas that happen alongside long-term needs, or pop out of the damn blue sky, that just need a solid three hour sit down to cut through the anxious fog. So we do a quick consult call to make sure this is the best investment for you.

  • In the first hour of the intensive, I will want to know what brings you to this decision. How did this job offer come to you? How long have you been wondering about leaving your boyfriend? When did the doubts about your faith begin to bubble? In short - what brings you to this threshold?

  • Usually this dilemma is a yes-no type of question. Which is what always makes our intuition goes quiet. So instead, with the fully story laid out in front of us, we’ll craft a series of questions to help get at the root of this decision. What are your assets? What are you liabilities? What don’t you know yet? What creates safety for you? And then we pull out our journals, pull our cards, and sit together with our intuitions and the images.

  • Once we break out of the black and white of a yes or no dilemma…the kaleidoscope of possibilities begins to break open. And turn. And here you’ll find empowerment, your own inner knowing, and maybe even a tasky tool or two for your journey.

  • There are occasions where follow ups are helpful, even necessary. I offer 30 minute follow ups once a month where we check in, check with the cards, and check out what new possibilities are in play for you.

Tarot Clarity Intensive

Before:

  • Your list of “what if’s” is longer than your list of options

  • Your gut seems seasick at best, non existent at worst

  • You’re losing sleep and appetite over what to do

  • Making this decision feels impossible. So does not making it.

After:

  • You have a long, dynamic list of options

  • You’ve located your inner voice and core values

  • While you’re still uncertain of exactly what is going to happen, you are able to rest knowing you aren’t doomed.

  • This decision might be hard, but you can do hard things. You’re ready to take it on.

Meet Your Guide

I’m Emilea - a therapist, a seriously playful heart, and a sharply intuitive spirit. I love a metaphor and a good rom com. And I’m fluent in Evangelical  (the life group I’m plugged into just wants to do life together, you know?) and now love playing with the tarot.

I hate to admit it - but I am not a witch. I love the parables, art work, and history of the tarot. It has meant a lot to me personally, and I began incorporating it in the therapy room a few years ago. I’ve watch the Tarot put words and emotion to experiences just out of reach for so many clients. Tarot is an intuitive language, a mystical story that gets retold each time we shuffle the cards.

Most people approach the tarot for the first time when needing a big sign, some type of divine intervention, for a decision. I enjoy subverting this expectation. The cards will not be channeling some higher source. It will simply unlock your own inner wisdom, and give you the space to see it clearly.

I am always happy to provide documentation to see what your health insurance can do for you.
